Over the past three years, more than 6 billion rubles have been allocated from the republican budget for the passenger buses renewal, Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov said at a government meeting.
As the Prime Minister of the Bashkir government noted, the region is actively working to improve the availability and quality of passenger transportation.
“Since 2019, over a thousand buses of various classes have been purchased. All cars were transferred to the management of Bashavtotrans. Now the inter-municipal route network of the republic includes 390 regular transportation routes, two-thirds of which are served by Bashavtotrans. More than 3.5 thousand settlements are covered by bus service,” Andrey Nazarov said, emphasizing that the quality of transport services should be improved.
According to the Minister of Transport and Roads of Bashkiria Alexander Klebanov, today, the route network of the republic includes 691 municipal routes. 64 carriers service them, and 3668 settlements are covered.
In addition, the transportation of passengers is organized along interregional routes passing through the republic. Transport is carried out by more than 30 interregional routes between the subjects of Russia. By the way, only the Ufa agglomeration is served by 86 inter-municipal routes, where 10 carriers are involved and 281 settlements are covered.
“The Ministry of Transport and Roads, together with the Ufa Mayor's Office, will develop a roadmap by January 16 to organize transport links between Ufa and its satellite villages. The administrations of the Karmaskalinsky, Belebeevsky, and Zianchurinsky districts need to conduct competitive procedures for the right to carry out passenger transportation at regulated tariffs,” Andrey Nazarov instructed.
