First stage of intelligent transport system implementation has been completed in Ufa

As part of implementing the Federal project "System-wide measures for the development of the road sector" of the national project "Safe and high-quality roads" in Bashkiria, a project is being implemented to introduce an intelligent transport system in the Ufa agglomeration. The budget provides over 1 billion rubles, which the federal center allocates more than 850 million.

“Today, Bashkortostan is carrying out comprehensive work to develop the road transport infrastructure, so the introduction of this system is a significant addition that will improve the processes for ensuring road safety,” says Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexander Klebanov.

To date, work on the first stage has been completed. Over the past year, 50 traffic lights have been upgraded. Recall that these works include creating intelligent traffic lights and installing automated traffic control systems and traffic flow detectors in 138 units.

It is planned to modernize 140 traffic lights in total. A situational center has been created, which is located at 147 Oktyabrya Avenue. Currently, work is underway to integrate subsystems, including traffic light control subsystems, meteorological monitoring (including the installation of 1 weather station), and subsystems for monitoring traffic flow parameters, subsystems for monitoring and managing public transport.

Next year, more than 50 traffic light objects will be upgraded.
