Bashkiria will receive almost 1.4 billion rubles for employment support programs

Tatyana Aksyutina

The Ministry of Labor of Russia decided to extend the implementation of additional measures to support the labor market. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria.

We are talking about co-financing temporary work for employees at risk of dismissal, as well as retraining employees of industrial enterprises to restructure the production cycle and the organization of paid public works. Bashkiria will receive 1.364 billion rubles from the federal budget in 2023 to implement these three measures. Since the programs are implemented based on co-financing, it is planned to allocate an additional 13.8 million rubles from the regional budget.

“We are very pleased that all the tools used to support employment in 2022 will continue next year. Thanks to the implementation of additional measures to reduce tension in the labor market in the past year, we saved jobs for 30,000 residents of the republic. We hope that in 2023, thanks to federal support, the positive trend will continue, and we will consolidate the indicators in the labor market that we reached by the end of this year,” commented Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria.

With the additional measures implemented, it is planned to employ 1,200 officially unemployed people in public works in Bashkiria in 2023. The volume of subsidies from the federal and regional budgets for this item of expenditure will amount to 87.6 million rubles.

15 thousand people at risk of dismissal will be employed in temporary jobs. 1.246 billion rubles are allocated for these purposes. Another 750 employees of industrial enterprises at risk of discharge are planned to be sent in 2023 for vocational training and additional professional education. The volume of subsidies will amount to 44.7 million rubles.

With federal subsidies, more than 13 thousand residents of the republic participated in public works in 2022. More than 13,000 workers at risk of being fired were provided with temporary employment. Another 3.6 thousand employees of the enterprises were trained or received additional professional education. All these programs have helped to reduce the number of employees at risk of dismissal by more than 7 thousand people - from 19.5 to 12.4 thousand.
