Sanctions did not affect Bashkiria’s economy: budget revenues increased by 18% and exceeded 220 billion rubles

Budget revenues increased by 18% during the sanctions policy, exceeding 220 billion rubles in Bashkiria. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Bashkiria, Andrey Nazarov.

"Now we maintain trade and economic relations with 113 countries. According to the results of 9 months, the foreign trade turnover increased by 13.5%. It amounted to almost 4 billion dollars. At the same time, the top 10 countries, our largest counterparties, included China, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the Netherlands, Belarus, Turkey, India, Finland, Germany, and Uzbekistan. They account for almost 70% of the foreign trade turnover," said the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan.

SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming addressed the forum participants via videoconference.

"The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has close ties with the city of Ufa. In 2015, a meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States was held here, and one of the key documents was adopted - the organization's development strategy until 2025. In the same year, Russia announced the initiative of the main mechanism of interregional cooperation - the forum of the heads of the SCO regions. Through the joint efforts of the participants, this forum will make a significant contribution to promoting economic and humanitarian cooperation, promoting the prosperity of interregional cooperation in the space of our organization," Zhang Ming said.

Gao Qi, head of the Chinese Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Trade China in Russia, added that despite the foreign political situation, the sanctions would not hinder the development of relations between Russia and China.
