International Business Week opens in Ufa

International Business Week has opened in the Ufa Congress Hall Toratau. The annual economic event brought together more than 3,000 people: government officials, business communities, and experts from various fields. More than 50 business events will be held at the 15th-anniversary forum, where more than 500 federal and international speakers from more than 20 countries will speak.

"Last year, Kazakhstan was a partner of our forum. We continue this good tradition. The partner of the forum this year is Belarus. We have the most fruitful cooperation with these countries and strategically developing relations. Together we implement many important projects. I greet our foreign colleagues, they have made a difficult choice, but they are with us. Today 20 countries of the world are represented here in Ufa. I want to thank the flagships of the industry of our republic. Without the effective work of Gazprom, Bashneft, the Bashkir Soda Company, and Rostec enterprises, the republic would not have been so successful. Over the years, I hope we have proved that we are working effectively and can keep our word. I think the Business Week will be useful for everyone," Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said at the opening ceremony.

Forum participants are waiting for three thematic days:

• December 14 - Technological development. Overtaking challenges
• December 15 - SCO. Creative agenda of international relations
• December 16 - A new formation of Russia's economic priorities.

The agenda of the forum includes the congress of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies, the implementation of projects in the industry with the help of industrial clusters and industrial parks, and the first congress of the Ufa Dialogue international discussion platform.

During the international business week, it is planned to conclude 55 agreements, 25 of which are investment ones. Within the framework of these agreements, 1.5 thousand new jobs will appear. Investments will be made in science and technology, the construction of schools and agricultural complexes, the production of polymers, the creation of logistics centers, and the modernization of roadside services.
