The government of Bashkiria held a meeting to update the state program for the development of science and technology. As Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov noted, the Republic has confirmed the status of a major center with significant scientific and production potential. Therefore, supporting scientific and educational organizations and continuing to develop science in the region is essential.
"Over the past two years, more than 3.5 billion rubles have been attracted from the federal budget to support science, and 465 million rubles have been allocated from the budget of the republic. Activities in the field of science and higher education are enshrined in the state program "Development of science and technology in the Republic of Bashkortostan". Currently, certain changes are being made to it," Andrey Nazarov said.
According to the Acting President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Daminev, today, there is a need to change the activities and indicators of the state program. In particular, it is planned to introduce two measures: "State support for young scientific and pedagogical workers" and "Implementation of a project to create an innovative educational environment (student campus of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center)". After the update, the financial support of the state program will increase by more than 400 million rubles.
Following the consideration of this issue, Andrey Nazarov approved the draft resolution of the republic's government. He instructed the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of Bashkortostan to report on the development of a new state program by November 1, 2023.
