First Russian smart medical beds production is started in Bashkiria

The Ufa enterprise Medstalkonstruktsiya LLC held a presentation of its products as part of the Russian Health Week 2022. This is a central international scientific and practical forum held since 1974. The conference is included in the list of annual events of the Russian Ministry of Health. About 650 participants from 10 countries presented their products at the Healthcare exhibition.

Medstalkonstruktsiya has launched the production of medical beds according to its unique design. The innovative height-adjustable model features built-in scales, motors, CPR essential for CPR, a nurse's console, and a display that allows for five patient positions, including upright. Previously, no one produced such equipment in Russia. The Russian analog is significantly cheaper than the foreign one. The leading consumer will be intensive care, resuscitation, and rehabilitation departments.

"Producers of Bashkortostan are already quite ready to replace imported products in our market completely. We make equipment that is competitive not only in our country but also abroad. In recent years, the authorities have been doing a lot to support domestic producers. In 2020, the Ministry of Industry proposed at the Industrial Hour session in the government to involve Medstalkonstruktsiya in developing design solutions for the repair and construction of medical organizations. As a result, together with the enterprise, a standard design project was developed and approved by the Ministry of Health for organizations providing primary health care, as well as a design project for "clean rooms" for the construction and repair of infectious diseases hospitals," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev.

During the year, it is planned to organize mass production of innovative beds and increase the number of jobs. The company will produce components for new products on its premises; for this, a workshop with an area of 12,000 square meters is being built. With the launch of a new production facility, the capacity for producing functional beds will increase by 30 percent.
