Building materials shipment by rail increased by 20% in Bashkiria

Transportation of goods by rail is an important economic indicator. In November 2022, over 258.8 thousand tons of construction cargo were sent by railway from Bashkortostan, which is 20.5% more than in November 2021, the office of the Kuibyshev Railway reported.

The main loading volume of building materials falls on the Meleuz and Tulma stations (Beloretsky district), from where concrete and reinforced concrete products are sent to ports, cargo terminals, oil and gas enterprises; slag for cement producers; crushed stone for backfilling and road construction.

The growth in the volume of construction cargo correlates with federal statistics, which record a decrease in the loading of petroleum products (103.5 million tons - minus 4.1%, minus 3.6% for 11 months of 2022) and an increase in the loading of building materials (+5.3 %). The most significant volume in the country falls on crushed stone. Therefore, the situation has been revived by road construction.
