In the third reading, deputies of the State Duma adopted a bill that establishes the minimum wage for 2023. It will amount to 16,242 rubles from January 1.
Note that at the moment, the minimum wage is set at 15,279 rubles. Thus, an increase of 6.3% is envisaged.
In addition, the adopted law proposes to change the procedure for calculating the minimum wage for 2023-2024. It will increase in an accelerated mode: its increase will depend on the growth rate of the subsistence minimum and will exceed them by three percentage points.
Also, according to the new rules, when calculating the minimum wage, such an indicator as the median salary (an indicator of earnings that the same number of employees receive, 50% above and 50% below the average level) will not be used.
