Eighteen enterprises of Bashkiria took part in the "Hour with the Trade Representative" held by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Representatives of the republican business spoke with the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Algeria, Ivan Nalich, and found out which areas are of interest to this country.
"Today, the trade turnover of Bashkiria with Algeria consists exclusively of exports of chemical industry products. We see the potential in the development of cooperation, and this is not only exports but also imports, as well as possible joint investment projects," commented the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bashkiria.
The trade representative of the Russian Federation in Algeria noted that the North African country imports large volumes of grain from Russia. There are promising developments in the economy's oil and gas and mining sectors.
"Algerian partners prefer to negotiate in French, so it is desirable to have an employee with knowledge of the language or resort to linguistic support. Among the conditions for concluding contracts, Algerian business representatives have a negative attitude towards advance payment clauses and do not practice prepayment. It is worth considering this," Ivan Nalich recommended.
