

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, presented state awards to the best workers on Industrial Workers' Day, which is celebrated for the first time in the republic.
"For the first time, we are celebrating the Day of Industrial Worker of the Republic of Bashkortostan. I sincerely congratulate you and all the workers of industrial enterprises of the republic on this beautiful holiday!
The Law "On Industrial Policy in the Republic" was adopted seven years ago, on December 1. We timed a professional holiday to this date.
I want to thank you all for your selfless work. Both during the pandemic and now, you are adequately coping with complex tasks, strengthening our economy, and improving people's lives," said Radiy Khabirov.
According to him, today, the industry of the republic forms about a third of the gross regional product. The leading sectors are chemistry and petrochemistry, the electric power industry, mechanical engineering, and metallurgy.
Despite the difficult situation in the world economy, enterprises of the republic continue to increase production for ten months - an increase of almost 3%. Bashkortostan ranks first in the rating of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of industrial policy effectiveness, and the Industrial Development Fund hit the top five for the second year in a row.
In total, 47 best workers of various industries received state awards from the Head of the Region.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry, Energy, and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev thanked Radiy Khabirov on behalf of 250,000 industrial workers for his constant support and attention and presented him with commemorative departmental medals in honor of the holiday.
During the first nine months of this year, industrial enterprises of the republic shipped goods of their production and performed works and services worth 1.7 trillion rubles. The republic ranks 11th among the regions of the Russian Federation and 2nd in the Volga Federal District. The industrial production growth in the republic exceeds the average Russian values and amounts to 103.1%.
Bashkortostan is one of the most influential industrial centers of the country and, in terms of certain types of industrial products - the largest producer in Russia.
The republic is leading in producing gasoline, glass, bodies for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, inflatable ships, and soda ash.
