The Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation will provide UMPO (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation) with a loan of 2 billion rubles at 1% per annum. The funds will be used to create a complex for the assembly and testing of power plants for gas pumping units, the company's press service said.
The complex is planned to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2027. The new facilities will make it possible to bring the production, repair, assembly, and testing of drive motors of the AL family to a level of up to 50 products per year.
An agreement of intent to build a production and technological complex in Ufa for the assembly and testing of industrial engines was signed between Rostec, Gazprom, and Bashkortostan at the X St. Petersburg International Gas Forum in 2021. The loan was issued within the framework of the Priority Projects program.
