Sugar production has increased significantly in Bashkiria
The sugar factories of Bashkiria processed more than 774 thousand tons of sugar beets. A year ago, 436 thousand tons were processed in the region, the republican Ministry of Agriculture reported.
“Today, more than 119,000 tons of sugar have been produced in Bashkiria, which is 50,000 tons more than last year. By the end of November 2021, 69,000 tons of sugar had been received in the region,” the agricultural department noted.
Of the 119 thousand tons of sugar produced, 61 tons fall to the Raevsugar Company and 58 thousand tons to the Chishminsky sugar plant.
Bashkiria completely covers its sugar needs, previously reported by Bashinform News Agency concerning the statement of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
Recall that this season, sugar beets were grown in the republic on an area of 44,000 hectares. The gross harvest of root crops exceeded 1.388 million tons with an average yield of 30.9 tons per hectare.
