Vladimir Putin positively assessed cooperation between Bashkiria and Kazakhstan

Most of the Russian regions have established direct trade and economic ties with Kazakhstan partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, addressing the participants of the forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Orenburg.

“Interregional contacts continue to deepen. Sister cities are working successfully,” Putin said.

The President of Russia noted the effectiveness of the working group for the development of cooperation between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan.

The President of Russia also announced broad prospects for the joint work of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan in various fields, including high-tech ones. According to Putin, the total volume of Russian investments in the Kazakh economy is $17 billion.

“More than 30 major investment projects are being implemented jointly in all key sectors of the economy,” the President noted.

“We will do everything possible to ensure the safety of Russian investments and attract them as much as possible to our economy,” Tokayev said during an address to the participants of the forum for interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Orenburg.

He added that countries need to accelerate the modernization of supply chains.

Recall that in September 2021, a Bashkortostan delegation headed by Radiy Khabirov paid an official visit to Kazakhstan, and in December 2021 a Kazakhstan delegation headed by the Prime Minister visited Bashkortostan.
