The Russian government has extended the right of stock market participants to undisclosed corporate information. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin.
“Securities issuing entities will be able to withhold partial or full disclosure of corporate information until July 1, 2023,” the government said in a statement.
The decision was made to protect stock market participants from possible sanctions from unfriendly states.
The right to disclose sensitive information to a limited extent or refuse to disclose it at all appeared with the issuing organizations in March 2022. Initially, the new rules were limited to 31 December. It has now been extended for another six months.
