The trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Egypt increased by 74% in January-September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
“In recent years, we have been increasing our foreign trade turnover with Egypt. If in 2021 the growth of trade turnover amounted to about 25%, then for 9 months of this year we have noted an increase in trade turnover by almost 75%, and this is mainly exported,” commented the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of Bashkortostan Margarita Bolycheva.
The following commodity groups showed the greatest growth in exports: the chemical industry, organic chemical compounds, metals, and metal products, wood and pulp, and paper products.
Bashkortostan has a significant potential for expanding its presence in the Egyptian market, Russia's trade representative in Egypt Nikolai Aslanov told. He expressed readiness to provide advice on the specifics of the region and gave recommendations to export-oriented companies on entering the foreign market.
