New production facility will appear in Alga special economic zone
The FARUS-SINTEZ Company intends to organize in the SEZ "Alga" the production of synthetic higher fatty alcohols with a capacity of 48 thousand tons per year. The cost of the project is estimated at 14.7 billion rubles, it is planned to create 400 new highly-paid jobs, the press service of the Bashkiria government reports.
The implementation of the project is supported at the federal level. In August 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation included it in the list of priority projects for the production of chemical products, which have a significant impact on the development of related sectors of the economy.
The production planned by the investor is especially important from the point of view of import substitution since today there is no production of synthetic higher fatty alcohols in Russia. All demand for these products is met through imports. Thus, the implementation of the project will make a significant contribution to ensuring the industrial safety of our country.
