98% area with sugar beet harvested in Bashkiria
43.1 thousand hectares of land with sugar beets, or almost 98% of the area, were harvested in the farms of the republic by October 31. In 14 districts, the harvesting of root crops has already been completed, and in five the work is at the final stage.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria, the gross harvest of root crops in the region amounted to 1.302 million tons, the average yield was 30.19 t/ha.
Two republican sugar factories processed almost 492 thousand tons of beets. More than 75 thousand tons of sugar were produced from local raw materials.
