Federal funds are allocated for Ufa world-class campus construction

This was announced by the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov at a meeting of the State Duma when considering the draft federal budget for 2023 and 2024-2025. The draft passed the first reading.

The budget provides for the fulfillment of all social obligations of the state. It is planned to index social benefits above the inflation rate by 12.3% from February 1. An increase in salaries for public sector employees, an increase in the minimum wage, and a living wage are envisaged.

Among budget expenditure items, the social policy remains the key one, for which it is planned to allocate 7.343 trillion rubles or 25.3% of the total. The second place is occupied by the national defense, for which 4.98 trillion rubles, or 17% of budget spending, have been allocated. 4.417 trillion rubles (15% of expenditures) were allocated for national security and law enforcement activities.

The budget takes into account the tasks of building 5 thousand schools and repairing 2.7 thousand medical organizations.

83 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of seven world-class campuses - in Moscow, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, and Nizhny Novgorod.

The student campus in Ufa is planned to be built in the city center - near the buildings of Bashkir State University and the Dynamo stadium. Recently, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, presented plans to build the facility to Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov.
