68,000 tons of sugar produced in Bashkiria
Two sugar plants in Bashkiria produced three times more sugar than last year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.
"Raevsugar" produced 36,900 tons of products, and the Chishminsky plant produced 30,900 tons.
Both enterprises processed 443,500 tons of beets. The sugar content of the root crops of the new crop is 15.3% - at the level of the previous year.
Beet growers complete the harvesting of root crops. 40,800 hectares (92%) have been harvested on October 26. The gross harvest of sugar beet is 1.226 million tons, the yield is 300.300 t/ha. Harvesting was completed in 9 out of 19 beet-growing regions.
