Belarus is a strategic partner of Bashkortostan and traditionally ranks among the top three in terms of foreign trade turnover. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy RB Rustam Muratov, commenting on the results of a recent visit to the region by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Gomel Region Governor Ivan Krupko.
As Rustam Muratov said at a briefing session of the republican government, the action plan for cooperation between Bashkortostan and Belarus was the most extensive and included more than 70 areas.
“As a result of the visit of Roman Golovchenko and Ivan Krupko last week, we added separate contracts and agreements to the areas of cooperation. Among them, there was the expansion of cooperation in the field of construction, the supply of components for the construction of multi-story car parks, cooperation in the design and manufacture of filling stations and CNG filling stations, the supply of products manufactured in Bashkortostan, said the First Deputy Prime Minister of the republican government. “Today, Belarusian partners are widely represented in the consumer market of Bashkortostan. Another ambitious direction is the creation of the Goods of Belarus chain of stores.”
Last week, a contract was signed for the supply of 4,000 tons of seamless pipes for a Bashkir oil equipment manufacturer. In addition, an agreement was signed in the field of high-tech engineering.
The area of special attention is the implementation of the project for the construction of the plant of the Amkodor company. According to Muratov, now "we are working on the second plant for the production of municipal equipment on the terms of an offset contract." A separate task is the "localization of the MAZ company - here we agreed on a three-stage implementation of a joint project." Potential partners in Bashkortostan for this project have already been found.
In addition, cooperation between the two republics in agriculture is being strengthened. We are talking about agricultural and scientific cooperation, as well as the launch of a project for the production of caterpillar tractors.
“Already next year, it is planned to assemble at least 50 units of vehicle kits in our republic. In 2024–2025, we want to bring this figure to 150 vehicle sets per year,” Rustam Muratov said.
