Chinese cars quantity increased in Russia

2,916 new cars from China were purchased in Russia from October 3 to October 9, 2022, which is 30.3% of the total. This was reported by the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT".

According to experts, the share of Chinese cars in the Russian market for the first time exceeded 30%. Most of all, over the past week, residents of the Russian Federation have purchased Chery cars - 1148 units. Next in the rating is Haval (771 vehicles). At the same time, only the domestic Lada (3713 vehicles) is higher than they are in the overall standings. Also among the Chinese cars, it is worth highlighting Geely (538 vehicles) and Exeed (252 vehicles), which occupy the sixth and ninth places in the rating of the Russian market.

Of the Chinese models, the Haval Jolion crossover was the best, which was bought last week for 539 vehicles. According to this indicator, it is second only to the domestic Lada Granta (2405 vehicles). Behind Haval Jolion there are two Chery models at once - the Tiggo 7 PRO and Tiggo 4 crossovers (536 and 444 vehicles, respectively).

Geely Coolray (285 vehicles) and Geely Atlas Pro (143 vehicles), which took the seventh and ninth positions, fall into the Top 10 of the model rating.

According to experts, the leaders of the Russian market are domestic cars, whose share in the last week amounted to 40.4%.
