Bashkiria Ministry of Agriculture and Russian Union of Beekeepers agreed on joint industry development

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Union of Beekeepers have agreed on long-term partnerships based on mutually beneficial cooperation in the Patriot Park of the Moscow Region. Bashkortostan signed the corresponding agreement within the framework of the 24th Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2022". The document was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the chairman of the all-Russian public organization "Union of Beekeepers of Russia".

“Beekeeping for Bashkortostan is a special area, we are very kind to our bees, and we do our best to keep the breed pure. Republican beekeepers annually produce at least 5-6 thousand tons of high-quality marketable honey. This is the best indicator in the country. Besides, we are ready to share our experience with colleagues from Russia and adopt all the best practices from them,” said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

According to the document, the parties will cooperate in providing mutual consulting, organizational, information-analytical, and methodological support in the areas. This is, for example, interacting on the issues of import substitution of bee materials, allowed in the Russian Federation of bee breeds, increasing the social activity of beekeepers in Bashkortostan, forming a positive public assessment of activity among the beekeeping community.

According to preliminary data, as of September 1, 2022, there are 298.0 thousand bee families in farms of all forms of ownership in the republic (102.7% by the beginning of the year), of which 3.2 thousand (71.1%) are in agricultural enterprises, in peasant (farm) farms - 29.5 thousand (103.5%), in subsidiary farms of citizens 265.2 thousand (103.1%)
