Radiy Khabirov: "5 million tons of grain were harvested in Bashkiria - first time since 1980s"

The harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Bashkiria has reached 5 million tons - for the first time since the 1980s, the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, stated on his Telegram channel.

“We are passing this milestone for the fourth time in history. 5 million tons were received in 1983, 5.2 million - in 1985, and 5.9 million - in 1986. And now we have again conquered the mark of 5 million tons - for the first time since the 1980s,” he stressed.

As Radiy Khabirov said, at the beginning of the 2022 harvesting campaign, “we made plans very carefully. Yes, it was obvious that this year’s harvest would be excellent, but it’s not enough to grow it - you also have to harvest it.” September turned out to be difficult: Bashkir grain growers had to catch short intervals between rains, "but they did it, well done."

The Head of the Region was sure that the agrarians of Bashkiria would be able to reach the target of 6 million tons of grain, "we will strive for this."

In addition, work will be intensified in the republic to increase the area of elevators, warehouses, and grain stores, which are currently lacking. It is equally important to actively develop grain processing, including deep processing.

“This will allow our farmers to increase profits and enter foreign markets with processed products. In addition, the inhabitants of the republic will be provided with high-quality products of local production. We will intensify work in these areas,” Radiy Khabirov summed up.
