Foreign trade turnover increased to $2.6 billion in Bashkiria in first half of year

According to the results of the first half of 2022, an increase in foreign trade turnover by 19%, to $2.6 billion, was recorded in Bashkiria. At the same time, the volume of exports increased by 25%, and exports of non-commodity and non-energy goods increased by more than 31%, which is 66.4% of the total exports of the region.

Positive results are due, among other things, to the implementation of the fourth republican anti-crisis package. About 70 million rubles have already been allocated for these purposes. The Center for Import Supply and Import Substitution was established. It assists in meeting the demand for previously imported raw materials, components, and equipment. To date, 170 applications have already been accepted and processed.

According to Andrey Nazarov, Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, women's entrepreneurship is a global trend and growth driver for small and micro businesses. According to the Federal Tax Service, the proportion of women entrepreneurs is about 40%. The role of women in foreign trade activities was discussed at the commission of the All-Russian competition of export support centers “Support Leaders. Women in Export.”

Andrey Nazarov spoke about the experience of Bashkortostan in supporting the export activities of the women's business community. Representatives of the region abroad make a significant contribution to the development of export and investment potential - in Belarus, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova highly appreciated the effectiveness of the formed export support infrastructure in Bashkortostan, including in the area of ​​interaction with women. She added that women's entrepreneurial activity was a significant driver of growth in non-commodity exports, the increase of which is one of the country's national development goals.

Andrey Nazarov spoke about his proposal to sum up the results of the All-Russian competition in our republic. This option will be considered.
