Sugar beet harvesting continues in Bashkortostan. According to the Republican Ministry of Agriculture, by September 28, beet-growing farms had dug up 538,000 tons of root crops. The expected gross harvest is about 1.6 million tons, such a harvest will provide the region with sugar for two years.
The average yield is 282 centners per hectare.
Chishminsky farmers - 103 thousand tons, the farms of Blagovarsky district - 98 thousand tons, Alsheevsky - 84 thousand tons, gathered the most significant harvest. Beets for this year's harvest were sown in 19 districts.
At the same time, root crops are processed at sugar factories. "Raevsakhar" processed 121 thousand tons of root crops, Chishminsky plant - 55 thousand tons. To date, more than 25 thousand tons of sugar have been obtained from beetroot of the new crop.
