Grain harvest exceeded 4.8 million tons in Bashkiria
The harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Bashkiria exceeded 4.8 million tons, as stated by the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.
According to the department's operational data, by September 23, more than 1.6 million hectares, or 95 percent, have been threshed. At the same time, the average yield of grain and leguminous crops remains high - 29.4 centners per hectare.
Meanwhile, farmers in three districts of Bashkiria harvested more than 200,000 tons of grain. In particular, the grain growers of the Sterlitamak region threshed 284 thousand tons, Ilishevsky - 234 thousand tons, and Meleuzovsky - 203 thousand tons.
Another 19 districts overcame the 100,000th mark, threshed from 102 to 189 thousand tons of grain, summed up in the agrarian department of the republic.
