Bashkiria’s industrial production index amounted to 103 percent

The industrial production index of Bashkiria for the seven months of 2022 amounted to 103% compared to January-July 2021, in Russia as a whole - 101%, the region's statistics reported.

According to Bashstat, over the seven months of this year, three sectors of industrial production showed positive dynamics: extractive industries - 121.5%, manufacturing - 100.9%, heat, and power - 102.5%.

At the same time, a decrease of 6.1% was recorded in water supply, sanitation, collection and disposal of waste, and elimination of pollution compared to January-July last year.

“In manufacturing industries, an increase in output since the beginning of the year was noted in the production of electrical equipment, medicines, furniture, machinery and equipment, other finished products, printing products, rubber, and plastic products, finished metal products, paper and paper products, other vehicles and equipment, beverages, chemicals, and chemical products, other non-metallic mineral products,” Bashstat stated.

At the same time, a negative trend is observed in the production of coke and petroleum products by 12.6% compared to January-July 2021, leather and leather products - by 12.2%, and wood processing - by 11.1%. In addition, a decrease in volumes is noted in the production of vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, textiles, clothing, computers, electronic and optical products, metallurgy products, and food products.
