Bashkiria may receive subsidy for holding events

Rostourism is launching a new support measure within the framework of the national project "Tourism and the hospitality industry". It has started accepting applications from regions to subsidize mass event events in tourism, which are scheduled for 2023. Applications are accepted until August 15 inclusive, the press service of the project office of "National Priorities" non-profit reported.

In particular, we are talking about supporting major cultural, entertainment, gastronomic, and sports events that can become a point of attraction for tourists.

Among the main requirements, according to the plan, at least 10,000 people should attend the event, and the entrance to it should be free.

“Event tourism is very promising for the growth of tourist flows,” said Zarina Doguzova, head of Rostourism. “Our new support measure is provided in the form of co-financing, that is, at least 30% of project financing must come from extra-budgetary sources.”

The maximum subsidy will be 50 million rubles for events with a planned number of spectators from 10,000 to 25,000 people. For events with a planned number of spectators of more than 25,000 people, the maximum subsidy amount will be 100 million rubles.

With these funds, you can organize a venue for the event, equip it with the necessary equipment, develop a creative concept and program, invite an anchor artist, or another media person, or organize an advertising campaign for the event in the media.

The national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" was developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
