Radiy Khabirov announced need for regular flights between Bashkortostan and Kalmykia

As Bashinform reported, last week the Head of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov, arrived in Bashkortostan on a working visit. A cooperation agreement was signed between the two republics.

“An important issue for the beginning of any cooperation is an airline, direct flights. The Ministry of Transport needs to do this together with our airport. It is clear that at first, it is subsidizing, but if it flies, it flies. It is also tourism, it is very interesting there”, Radiy Khabirov commented on the results of Batu Khasikov’s visit to Bashkortostan at a briefing session in the regional government.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the opening of regular flights between Ufa and Elista will bring the people and management teams of the two republics together.

“We will discover Elista with its interesting culture, and originality, and we will discover the history, culture, and nature of our republic for the Kalmyks,” he emphasized in the Baimaksky district during the festival of the Bashkir horse “Bashkort Ata” on July 30.
