Acting Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation RB Timur Gerasimov, during an off-site meeting of the Government RB, said that to ensure the socio-economic development of the city of Agidel in 2020, the department had developed an appropriate road map, which was updated in 2021.
As part of the road map, the investor's industrial park was attracted. Kurai Solar LLC received the right to build two solar power plants on the territory of Agidel according to the results of the competition.
The project is unique both for Russia and for the global practice of building solar power plants as a whole since construction is being carried out on unclaimed lands of the Agidel industrial zone. For many years, the above-mentioned territories were neglected and were not used for active industrial or other activities, while the regional budget suffered losses in their maintenance, conservation, and protection.
“As part of the project, two SPPs are being built, these are Agidel SPP No. 1 and Agidel SPP No. 2. The total investment in the project is 925 million rubles without VAT. The total installed electric capacity of power plants is 9.98 MW,” Timur Gerasimov noted.
