Bashkiria intends to bring trade with Belarus up to billion dollars year

In the Gomel region, Bashkortostan and Belarus discussed cooperation prospects in the field of agriculture, engineering, tourism, and sports, the press service of the regional government reported.

It should be reminded that an international business mission of the delegation of Bashkiria to Belarus started the day before.

As experts emphasize, the visit of the Bashkiria delegation and business circles will contribute to increasing trade with the Republic of Belarus. Now it is about $80 million a year, but should reach the level of $500 million, and then $1 billion a year.

Several meetings have already been held with representatives of state authorities. The priority of the Belarusian side is to increase the supply of agricultural machinery and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing grain to Bashkiria.

In turn, Bashkiria can export to Belarus dairy products, milk powder, mixtures, honey, grain, beef, sunflower oil, poultry meat and edible offal, seeds, fruits, and spores for sowing, flax seeds, sausages, and similar meat products, fermented drinks.
