Alsheevskaya company "Raevsakhar" until autumn - before the start of the sugar beet processing season, produces sugar from Brazilian raw materials, intending to process 30 thousand tons of raw cane sugar. To date, 12 thousand tons have been processed.
According to the company, the line for processing cane raw materials was purchased in March of this year, so that in the event of a crop failure of domestic raw materials, it would be possible to process imported ones and satisfy the highest demand.
The Ministry of Agriculture explained that two sugar factories located in Bashkiria, even in lean years (such as the dry 2021, for example), produce enough products for the needs of the domestic market, but the factories also supply sugar to other regions. The capacities of the modernized lines of enterprises in Chishmy and Raevka make it possible to produce 250-300 thousand tons of sugar per season. The department is confident that there will be no interruptions in sugar supplies either in summer or in autumn - this season, sugar beet farms have increased sugar beet crops by 20% to 44 thousand hectares.
As previously reported, Raevsakhar bought raw sugar at the peak of the dollar exchange rate and, to its detriment, will sell sugar at a socially acceptable price.
