Bashkiria intends to increase trade turnover with Abkhazia by 10 times

The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Andrey Nazarov, shared his plans for increasing trade between Bashkiria and Abkhazia in his telegram channel. In 2021, it amounted to $14.6 million, which is 1.5 times more than a year earlier, but it is planned to increase it 10 times in the coming years.

“We are ready to increase the export of food products - grain, milk powder, sunflower oil, hatching eggs, branded products "Product of Bashkortostan" and much more.  Besides, to import, first of all, fruits, vegetables, and wines, which Abkhazia is famous for. The approximate volume of demand for tangerines from Abkhazia alone in the retail chains of Bashkortostan today is about 250 tons. We have outlined plans to increase the tourist flow between our republics. According to tour operators, about 7,000 tourists from Bashkortostan spend their holidays in Abkhazia every year. In turn, our republic is ready to host tourists in our sanatoriums, many of which are included in the top 100 Russian health resorts,” Andrey Nazarov posted.

In addition, it is planned to develop joint projects in the agro-industrial complex, construction, housing and utility services, trade, medicine, education, and culture. All this should ultimately have a positive impact on people's lives.
