2 companies became Alga SEZ residents, 5 more are under consideration in first half of 2022

In Bashkiria, the results of the work of the special industrial economic zone "Alga" in the first half of 2022 were summed up, the press service of the government RB reports.

During this period, two companies became residents of Alga: Bioron LLC with a project for the production of vitamin B2 and BashBalyk LLC with a project to build a plant for growing and deep processing of sturgeon fish. The total investment of new SEZ residents will amount to 2.542 billion rubles, and 55 new jobs will be created. Another five companies are considered potential residents of the special economic zone. The volume of planned investments is over 15 billion rubles, it is planned to create about 748 new jobs.

Now 12 residents are registered in the Alga SEZ, and the total amount of investments they have declared is 25.7 billion rubles, it is planned to create 1,733 new jobs. Residents are planning to occupy more than 143 hectares out of 336 hectares intended for rent. According to the results of the first half of the year, 8 residents rented more than 78 hectares of land.

According to the results of the National investment attractiveness rating of the Russian economic zones in 2021, the Alga SEZ became the most fastly developing among the special economic zones of the industrial type. In April 2022, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development supported the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, to expand the boundaries of the Alga SEZ. A schedule of activities was approved to prepare an application to increase the area of ​​the Alga zone by including the land plots of the Ufimsky industrial park in its composition.
