In the first half of 2022, the railway cargo terminal in Sterlitamak (Kuibyshev Railway) increased the volume of cargo handling by 61% (compared to the same period last year). Over the specified period, the growth in the processing of packaged cargo amounted to 50%, heavy cargo - 29%, and large-capacity containers - 69%.
The number of container trains sent from January to June of this year has doubled, and work has been organized in 4 new directions, including to India through Georgia, Finland, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. The increase in the volume of sending container trains is associated both with an increase in the number of shippers and with the expansion of the range of goods transported and the geography of deliveries of containerized goods focused on export transportation. Also among the shippers of the Bashkir region, there is an increased demand for the shipment of rubber and vegetable oil.
