Investors involved in university technology startups can receive state support
Investors who have invested in university technology startups will be able to offset up to half of their costs through federal grants. The rules for using such a support tool are approved by a government decree. Thus, the state stimulates the development of technological entrepreneurship in universities.
We are talking about compensation for the costs of projects based on the developments of students, teachers, or university researchers.
The first recipients of the subsidy will be the participants of the 145 best projects that will undergo an independent examination. In total, more than 3.1 billion rubles are provided for this in the federal budget for 2022-2024.
The Investment Reimbursement Program is part of the federal project "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform". It is designed to implement one of the government's 42 strategic initiatives designed to improve the quality of life of citizens and ensure the sustainability of the economy.
The program operator is the Development Fund of the Center for New Technologies Development and Commercialization.
