Head of Bashkiria spoke about Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus results

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, in a conversation with journalists, summed up the results of the IX Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus and spoke about the prospects for developing cooperation between the republic and Belarusian enterprises.

He highly appreciated the opportunities of the forum for the republic and confirmed our intentions to increase trade with a friendly country to $1 billion or more. In his opinion, it will be possible to achieve this goal within 3-4 years.

“The main thing is that we are not just increasing the supply of goods, but moving towards deep integration. Thus, the AMKODOR company is going to invest and build an enterprise to produce grain dryers and grain cleaning complexes in Bashkortostan. Our machine tool company ESM is going to localize production in the Vitebsk free economic zone. That is, we are starting a mutual exchange of technologies, which is very important in modern conditions,” Khabirov said.

The Head of the Republic highly appreciated the Belarusian machinery, including agricultural equipment, which is in great demand among the farmers of the region. He announced that next week the municipalities of Bashkiria would receive 100 units of municipal machinery, more than half of which were made in Belarus. However, Bashkiria is also ready to supply demanded goods. So in July, at the Innoprom site, the republic will hold negotiations with MAZ on the possibility of supplying fasteners manufactured in Belebey at the BelZAN enterprise.

In addition, Radiy Khabirov spoke about the possibilities of cooperation in other areas, in particular, tourism, and the next X Forum planned to be held in Ufa.
