Head of Bashkiria: close contacts with partners form cluster approach

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg, highly appreciated the work being done to create clusters in the republic.

“Close contacts with partners form a cluster approach. All components of the production chain must be located within the cluster. We are actively developing this direction.

For example, earlier furniture production was not a calling card of Bashkortostan. At the same time, the first Russian furniture cluster was created in our republic. We supported the formation of a pool of companies that want to cooperate in this area including Tatarstan. Therefore, the furniture cluster has already become interregional. Moreover, this is just the beginning.

Our main partner is the Association of Clusters, Technoparks, and Special Economic Zones of Russia in this part of the work. They suggest that we expand the cluster policy to other industries as well. Now we are next in line to create several clusters. One of them is in the field of unmanned aircraft. I think that we will dedicate this year to vigorous work on their formation and development,” Radiy Khabirov said, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.
