Bashkortostan stakes on industrial clusters development - Radiy Khabirov

Bashkortostan counts on the development of industrial clusters, Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov posted on his social networks.

Bashkortostan relies on the development of industrial clusters amid the challenges our economy faces. Such a combination of enterprises makes it possible to reduce dependence on imports, create new jobs and successfully build full-fledged production chains up to sale to end consumers.

An example is the furniture cluster of Bashkortostan, which was the first in the country to hit the register of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. Its participants plan to implement projects worth 775 million rubles. In the next 3-4 years, more than 1,200 people will work at the enterprises of this cluster.

Another 5,000 high-paying jobs will be provided by the unmanned aircraft cluster that we are currently creating. It will produce components and information systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Our manufacturers are already going to unite in various areas of production, including those that represent our future. Machine-building, industrial and agro-industrial clusters are in the process of creation. Our largest enterprises are ready to participate in them.

Bashkortostan is one of the pilot regions of Russia for the introduction of new approaches to the development of clusters. It is not by chance that currently, Ufa has become a platform for the international congress "Cooperation of Enterprises in New Economic Environment." Delegations from more than 40 regions of the country, our partners from Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and representatives of large foreign companies came to our republic. We discussed with them and with the director of the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia Andrey Viktorovich Shpilenko the issues of cluster development, international cooperation, subsidies, and preferences that residents receive, and shared our experience. The prospects are significant, we are moving forward.
