Bashkiria PDAs residents invested 6.2 billion rubles in republican economy

In Bashkiria, residents of the priority development  areas (PDAs) in the first quarter of 2022 invested 6.2 billion rubles in the region's economy and created more than 4.4 thousand jobs.

“PDA is an effective mechanism for the development of our single-industry towns. The benefits provided to residents are the most attractive support measures for potential investors. But behind the numbers, first of all, is the social significance of the functioning of such territories, since thanks to the creation of new jobs, social tension is reduced and dependence on city-forming enterprises is reduced,” First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy RB Rustam Muratov commented.

The largest amount was invested by the investors of "Kumertau" PDA - 2.7 billion rubles. Residents of "Blagoveshchensk" PDA sent almost 2 billion rubles, "Belebey" PDA - 732.5 million rubles, "Neftekamsk" - 442.5 million rubles, "Beloretsk" PDA - 284 million rubles.

Total, 122 residents are included in the register of PDA residents (Kumertau - 35, Belebey - 22, Blagoveshchensk - 33, Neftekamsk - 21, Beloretsk - 11). The implementation of investment projects will attract more than 50 billion rubles of investment and create over 10,000 jobs.

 There are six single-industry towns in Bashkortostan, in which, as of January 1, 2022, more than 400 thousand people live, which is almost 10% of the total population of the republic: Belebey, Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Beloretsk, Blagoveshchensk and Uchaly. Five of them (except Uchaly) received the status of PDA.

“For resident enterprises of such territories, there are income tax benefits. The federal part is completely reset, the regional part is 5% for the first five years, and 10% for the next five years. There is a reduced coefficient for the application of the mineral extraction tax.

Tariffs for insurance premiums have also been reduced (from 30% to 7.6%) for residents who received such status during the first 3 years from the date of the creation of PDA.

At the regional level, PDA residents are exempt from paying property tax, at the municipal level - from land tax. There is a reduced coefficient for the lease of state and municipal property," the Ministry of Economic Development RB reminded.
