Ufa hosts anniversary “Gas. Oil. Technology" International Exhibition-Forum

The 30th-anniversary “Gas. Oil. Technology" International Exhibition Forum started today at VDNH-Expo in Ufa.

The exhibition is attended by 250 companies from 35 regions of Russia, as well as from the Republic of Belarus. The collective exposition of enterprises of the Kurgan cluster is presented here, for the first time the collective exposition of the Irkutsk region presents its enterprises.

Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov noted that in fact, this exhibition was a visiting card of Bashkortostan since the petrochemical and gas industries constituted the basis of the republican economy. The forum is of particular importance this year when the 90th anniversary of Bashkir oil is celebrated.

The Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan of Uzbekistan Bakhytzhan Khabibullaev noted that last week a delegation of Bashkortostan had paid an official visit to them and further ways of cooperation were outlined during the negotiations.

“Russia is a strategic partner of our country. We are very interested in cooperation with Bashkortostan, which is a driver among the regions of Russia. We have many different points of cooperation in different areas,” Bakhytzhan Khabibullaev said.

Vladimir Sizov, Deputy Concern Belneftikhim of the Republic of Belarus, said that their company would be ready to cooperate more actively with Bashkortostan.

“We consider the volume of trade for $314 million to be insufficient, it has great growth potential,” Vladimir Sizov emphasized.

President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia Gennady Shmal noted that, according to the professional community, the exhibition forum in Ufa was one of the best in terms of organization of exposition and business events, selection of speakers, and therefore this event was called one of the most effective in the development of both the industry as a whole and individual companies in particular.

As part of the business program, the strategic session "Oil and Gas Complex of Russia: Development Trends, Challenges and Forecasts" will take place today. For the first time, the exhibition site will host the lean production championship among chemical enterprises and the Gas Dictation, which will be written by more than 200 young scientists and industry specialists. The nominees for the Global Energy Prize will also be announced today.
