

The international diversified business mission of the Republic of Bashkortostan, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities together with the Export Support Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan, began work in Uzbekistan.
As noted by the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities Margarita Bolycheva, 94 representatives of business circles of the region are participating in the business mission to Uzbekistan.
"These are 70 export-oriented companies: 14 are large businesses, 56 are SMEs; 19 representatives of importing enterprises, and 5 heads of business associations and experts. For comparison, the business mission delegation to Kazakhstan consisted of 36 representatives, and to Belarus – 57. This once again proves the interest of our business circles in this direction,” the minister said.
The parties also discussed the main directions of cooperation development between Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan, considered the key features of trade with Uzbekistan.
Igor Kamynin, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted that the main task is to support Russian companies in their desire to enter the Uzbek market, in particular, by assisting in finding partners, organizing negotiations and business missions, informing about the specifics of working on the local market, consulting, including on legal issues.
He noted that the Trade Representative Office is a kind of "communication and information bridge" between Russian companies and their potential Uzbek partners. Also in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, together with the Russian Export Center and the Trade Representative Office, launched a project to organize an export support group responsible for the comprehensive promotion of Russian products on the Uzbek market.
Currently, there are 2,390 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with the participation of Russian investments. 976 enterprises were created with 100% participation of Russian capital. In the period 2014-2021, the volume of investments of the Russian side in the economy of Uzbekistan exceeded $12 billion.
