Bashkir and Uzbek beekeepers agreed on cooperation

On May 18, in Uzbekistan, within the framework of the Interregional Cooperation Forum, which took place in Tashkent, Bashkir and Uzbek beekeepers agreed on cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic.

The agreement was signed by the “Interregional Center for the Protection and Promotion of Beekeeping Products of the Republic of Bashkortostan “Altyn Solok” and the Association of Beekeepers of Uzbekistan. The document was signed by the Director of "Altyn Solok" non-profit Marat Khasanov and the Chairman of the Association Sharofiddin Bakhriddinov. A similar cooperation agreement was signed with the Association of Beekeepers of Tashkent represented by its chairman Farrukh Musaev.

“We, as the largest beekeeping region of Russia, are interested in the experience of developing beekeeping in Uzbekistan,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said. “Here we have managed to double the number of bee colonies and the production of honey in five years. In 2021, honey production in Uzbekistan amounted to 25 thousand tons, and the number of bee colonies - 1.1 million. At the same time, scientific selection in beekeeping is well developed in our republic, including using DNA analysis, our Uzbek colleagues were interested in our experience in this area.”

Together, the agreements provide for mutual cooperation, comprehensive ties in the trade, economic, research, and scientific and technical fields in the field of beekeeping, as well as the exchange of experience, interaction in the field of selection, scientific research, and cooperation in promoting beekeeping products.
