In Ufa, they began to produce cuvettes for blood coagulation analyzers of the KoaTest series, the mayor's office reported.
The new production facility was opened at the BashInvest Industrial Park, located on the territory of the Ufa Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant.
“This is a joint project of the Astra research and production center and the Ordamed group of companies,” the municipality explained. “The amount of investment in the project exceeded 50 million rubles.”
Ordamed is a group of companies that unites various areas and brands of medical equipment. They work with manufacturers from South Korea and develop their production facilities in Russia. Thus, cooperation is being carried out with the Astra research and production center on producing laboratory equipment, established in February 1998. The company is engaged in the development and production of medical laboratory equipment. As noted in the mayor's office, all products manufactured and developed by Astra R&P center are focused on domestic consumables.
In 2021, on the sidelines of the Russian Petrochemical Forum “Gas. Oil. Technologies-2021" in Ufa, Astra signed a cooperation agreement with the Bashinvest industrial park. The developers were provided with an additional 150 square meters for the production of cuvettes for coagulation analyzers of the KoaTest series of their design.
“It is planned to cast cuvettes for coagulation analyzers of the KoaTest series at the new production site: single-channel KoaTest-1, two-channel KoaTest-2, four-channel KoaTest-4, automatic KoaTest-Auto. Over 3 million cuvettes were sold in 2021. Since the park of analyzers in Russia is growing, the existing production of cuvettes cannot cope with such a volume. It is planned that up to 4 million cuvettes will be cast annually at the new site,” the Ufa administration summed up.
