Federal center notes tourist flow growth to Bashkiria
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting at the Coordination Center on preparations for the summer tourist season, monitoring the availability of rooms and prices for services in the Russian regions. He also named the Top 7 most popular regions among tourists at the moment.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the top 7 regions by popularity are Krasnodar Territory, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Stavropol Territory, Moscow Region, and Crimea. Significant growth rates of tourist traffic compared to last year are observed in Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Perm and Altai Territories, and Samara Region.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Federal Tourism Agency and the Ministry of Transport to ensure the quality and availability of recreation in all regions of Russia. The Ministry of Transport, together with the regions, needs to take special control over security issues on the main transport arteries, and also not plan road repairs in the high season in areas of increased tourist flow.
