High-speed Lastochka will be launched on Orient Express route in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, in the second half of 2022, the Lastochka high-speed electric train will be launched on the Orient Express route Ufa - Beloretsk. First Deputy Minister of Transport of Bashkortostan Viktor Zhulkov said that in 2023 the Orient Express could be extended to Magnitogorsk and Sibay.

Recall that the first Lastochka was launched on the route Ufa - Priyutovo on April 1.

According to Viktor Zhulkov, there are plans to extend the second Orlan train from Kumertau to Orenburg.

“As you know, repairs to the local airport are starting in Orenburg, we plan to give residents of the neighboring region the opportunity to fly through the Ufa airport. To do this, we want to make a stop for the Southern Express at the Urshak station. We also extended the “Western Express” to Abdulino, Orenburg region,” the First Deputy Minister said in an interview with Elena Prochakovskaya, head of the department of the Head of the Republic RB for social communications.
