Small and medium-sized businesses number increased by 3.7% in Bashkiria over year

According to the Unified Register of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses as of April 10, 2022, in Bashkiria, since April 2021, the number of registered small and medium-sized businesses has increased by 4.7 thousand - 3.7% higher compared to April last year.

Now there are 129.3 thousand small and medium enterprises in the region.

Since the beginning of 2022, this indicator has increased by 2.3 thousand units, the growth rate was 2%. These figures are similar to those for January-March 2021 (2.4 thousand).

Along with an increase in the number of small and medium-sized entities, an increase in the number of self-employed people (by 11.7 thousand) was noted - in the first quarter of 2022, there were 84.3 thousand of them.

The number of people employed in the private sector increased by 3 thousand and amounted to 516 thousand people.

An effective tool for supporting entrepreneurial initiatives is the institution of business sheriffs. Currently, with their support, more than 1.3 thousand projects are being implemented in municipalities. At the same time, about 30 thousand new jobs were created. The total cost of the projects is 240 billion rubles.

This year, the activities of the national project "Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives" in the republic will be financed for 644.5 million rubles (599.4 million rubles from the federal budget, 45.1 million rubles from the republican).

“The first package of anti-crisis measures to support the region's economy under sanctions, which was recently presented to the government of the republic, includes 143 measures worth about 55 billion rubles, including those related to small businesses. I am sure that new support tools will allow us not only to preserve but also to ensure further growth of entrepreneurship in the region,” the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB Rustem Afzalov said.
