4 billion rubles will be allocated for agriculture development in Bashkiria

4 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of agriculture in Bashkiria within the framework of the republican program to support the economy. This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the region Rustam Muratov on the air of the BST TV channel during a briefing on measures to support the economy of the republic amid external sanctions pressure, organized by the Republic Management Center RB.

He noted that so far the sanctions policy had not affected the sowing campaign in the region.

“More than 4 billion rubles of anti-crisis measures have been previously directed to this industry. Plus, we have developmental tools, such as the creation of the Center for Embryology and Genetics of Cattle. I hope that this will lead to a lack of dependence on the supply of pedigree livestock from foreign countries, especially unfriendly ones,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said that this year the spring fieldwork was quite expensive for the farmers of the republic. In total, according to him, more than 20 billion rubles are required for sowing work.

He also noted that the Ministry of Agriculture was always in touch with every farmer and every enterprise, including with regard to anti-crisis support measures.

The first package of measures to support the economy of the republic amid external sanctions was presented at a briefing session in the government of Bashkortostan on April 18. Its amount is 55 billion rubles.

The construction industry, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism, agro-industrial complex, and others will receive enormous assistance.
