First Russian furniture cluster was created in Bashkiria

The first industrial cluster has been created in Bashkiria, Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov said at a briefing session of the government at the Republic Management Center.

The order to create such a cluster in Bashkiria was signed by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

“Denis Manturov signed an order to create the first industrial cluster of our republic,” Radiy Khabirov told the meeting participants. “I am very pleased that this is the first furniture cluster in Russia.”

The inclusion of enterprises in a separate cluster will allow them to qualify for state support measures, and, accordingly, continue to develop further.

According to Khabirov, many associate Bashkiria only with oil and gas, "and we are working to ensure that other areas of our economy develop as well."

“It is great that we have this growth in Tuymazy, 11 enterprises are connected. Moreover, our cluster has the status of a federal one, that is, it works for the entire Volga Federal District. Colleagues from Tatarstan have already joined us, and this is excellent,” Khabirov summed up.

At the same time, the Head of Bashkiria pointed out the importance of establishing internal Russian relations in order to prevent disruptions in the supply of fittings, metal, wood, plastic, etc., necessary for furniture production.

“It is important to work to the smallest detail, to establish internal Russian ties. We have five more clusters in line. I am very concerned about the electronic cluster”, Khabirov said, addressing the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy RB Rustam Muratov. So keep moving forward. You see, who would have thought that we would make a furniture cluster, but we did. The Ministry of Industry of Russia supported us, thank you very much.”
